Adam Ashe
President
After graduating from St. Michael’s College, Adam began his career with Progressive Insurance in 1998 working in their claims organization. During his 16 years with Progressive, Adam worked in a variety of roles including an Auto Appraiser, Injury & Litigation Specialist and finally as a Regional Claims Manager. Working with people involved in an auto accident allowed Adam to truly appreciate the value of insurance, and more importantly, the value of having the “right” coverage. Adam prided himself on providing a superior claims experience for each person and is now very excited to be part of the family business working directly with his local community. Adam is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life, Health & Disability Insurance. He lives in Essex Junction with his wife, Jennifer and their 3 children.
Jennifer Ashe
Vice President
Jen is a 7th generation Vermonter who grew up in Essex Junction. She attended Essex High School and went on to receive her B.S. from Saint Michael's College. Jen was an outstanding field hockey player and had the honor of being selected for the Eastern College Athletic Conference First Team by the various coaches throughout New England. Jen joined the family-owned business in 2015 when she became a licensed agent in Property and Casualty. She enjoys serving her community as a Justice of the Peace, a member of the Board of Civil Authority, a former school board member, and remains active volunteering in the Essex school system. Jen comes from a long line of family members devoted to serving on many boards and elected offices. She lives in Essex Junction with her husband Adam and their 3 children.
Jean Ashe
Agent
Jean grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. She worked for 18 years at Downs, Rachlin & Martin serving as the officer manager and litigation paralegal. Jean joined the agency in 1989 and is licensed in property and casualty. She is very active on the board of Essex Rotary, serving as the Club’s secretary. In 2016, she was awarded the Rotarian of the Year and prides herself on continuing to provide quality service to clients, as well as volunteering in her community.
Barb Watters
Agent
Barb graduated from the University of Illinois in 1982 and moved to Vermont to work for Ayrshire Breeders Association in Brandon. In 1996, Barb joined a local independent agency and is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life, Health & Disability Insurance. Barb prides herself on working diligently to match clients’ needs to the correct product and coverages. She thrives on the principles of building on-going relationships, superior customer service and the team environment at Ashe Insurance. Barb is very active within the International Association of Insurance Professionals and Champlain Valley Association of Insurance Professionals. Most recently, Barb was awarded the “Insurance Professional of the Year” and is also an officer at the Barre Elks Lodge and is a licensed auctioneer.
Alan Ashe
Retired
Alan started Alan Ashe Insurance in 1975 in Essex, Vermont. He was exceptional at building relationships and truly enjoyed the one-on-one contact he had with his clients. He is thrilled to have his son and daughter-in-law carry on the tradition of providing excellent service. He is proud that our clients continue to “Keep Company with the Company People Keep”.
